Law Enforcement / Military

With appropriate use-of-force strategies in mind, Commando Krav Magas Law Enforcement Program focuses on defensive tactics that gives officers the skills and knowledge to protect themselves and preserve the public peace while using the required amount of force to avoid liability.

CONCEPT

Law enforcement officers are primarily faced with 3 scenarios:
1) Yes Man - The suspect cooperates with the officer.

2) Maybe Man - The suspect gives some resistance to the officer but eventually cooperates.
3) No Man! - The suspect is out of control while resisting arrest. There may also be more than one suspect in hand and the officer is faced with multiple attackers.

Each circumstance requires different use of force tactics towards the suspect(s). In each scenario, Commando Krav Maga (CKM) trains the officer to effectively subdue the suspect with appropriate use of force while keeping personal safety in mind

CKM Law Enforcement Tactical Training prepares law enforcement personnel on maintaining appropriate distance, restraint tactics and engaging in empty hand combat when necessary. The CKM techniques will give law enforcement officers the necessary tools to gain control of the situation when faced with unexpected vicious attacks.

The goal of the Commando Krav Maga Law
Enforcement program is to make sure that law enforcement personnel are field ready in the shortest amount of training time. This is why all the tactics and techniques in CKM have been developed to be as simple and effective as possible.

RECENT EVENTS

Palm Beach, FL – Commando Krav Maga Founder and Chief Instructor Moni Aizik recently conducted a Law Enforcement Training course at the Criminal Justice Institute in Florida to
Police Tactical Defense instructors from across the United States. With the help of one of our talented CKM certified Instructors, Johnny Medero, the Law Enforcement course was a huge success!

Many of the Tactical Defense instructors had long standing backgrounds in martial arts training but commented that CKM was one of the most practical, effective and innovative approaches to tactical defense they had ever experienced.

CKM, Moni and Johnny made a lasting impression in the hearts of Law Enforcement personnel in the United States. We believe that this success will help build the positive momentum of the upcoming Law Enforcement Instructor Certification courses!

PALM BEACH-COMMUNITY COLLEGE

CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE

Hello Moni:

I just wanted to let you know you and Johnny were a BIG HIT with the class you just taught.

I have the evaluations in front of me and here are just some of the comments:

“All officers in Palm Beach County should be required to attend Moni’s class.”

“Every Cop should be required to attend Moni’s training.”

“Moni is one of the best instructors I have had in 20 years of martial arts training.”

“This class should be mandatory for ALL law enforcement.”

“BEST class I have ever attended.”

Based on the course evaluations, I think you would be an asset to the conference that is attended by High Liability Trainers (Firearms, Defensive Tactics, Driving, and First Aid) from across the state of Florida.

This past year, 2007, the conference was attended by over 500 law enforcement trainers…

God Bless!

Sincerely,

Director Patrick M. Kelly
Criminal Justice Institute

Dear Mr Aizik,

I wish to thank you on behalf of the Metropolitan Police Service Officer Safety Unit for the excellent three-day instructor’s course that our officer, Daniel Killeen attended. The Metropolitan Police Service, through the Officer Safety Unit constantly strives to develop appropriate training packages for police officers and staff. As part of this process we welcome demonstrations in new methodologies from established trainers. Your course was well received by Officer Killeen,

who is in the process of feeding back the techniques to the rest of the unit.

We will consider using your services in the future.

Yours sincerely,

Robert Blackburn

Inspector CO11

Moni,
I wanted to send an e-mail and thank you for the awesome one week Law Enforcement Training Boot Camp.
It was an experience I will never FORGET!

Next year will be 20 years, training in martial arts, and coming from Aikido and Gracie Jui Jitsu, which I
still train. Your course has to be the most intensive training I can ever remember. Even more important, the
physical challenge didn't come from performing sit ups or push ups but from the continuous repetition of
techniques.

I cannot get over how practical the Commando Krav Maga techniques are yet so biomechanically sound. I also want to thank you for so much information
dealing with the psychology of a violent encounter and the mind set.

As a Narcotics Agent, I intend on bringing back all the knowledge you have shared back to my unit and
department.

I feel the information on reality combat fighting needs to spread through out our law enforcement
community in response to the ever increasing violent crimes that are being committed. Many of the martial
arts today address fighting from a sport perspective and not a street survival as Commando Krav Maga does.

Because I was so impressed with Commando Krav Maga, I intend on now applying for the CKM Instructor Course
to continue to spread CKM to my community.

Thank you again for an experience I will never forget and may save my life one day.

Dr. Rob Banuchi
Palm Beach County, Florida

Moni,
After a decade of studying traditional martial arts to include some arts that are clearly more realistic for self defense than others, in addition to studying another reality based system, and being involved with other martial art organizations, I have clearly found a home and a family. I am 100% convinced CKM is the fastest growing reality based system in the world due to your utmost professionalism, close relationships you have with your students, and clearly creating and sharing the best reality based system in the world with others. You and your instructors are clearly concerned with all of your students' progress and want to see people improve not just in your system but in life.

The intensive instructor's course/boot camp was as physically and mentally challenging as Marine Corps boot camp and two law enforcement academies I have attended.

I can't wait to practice what I have learned, pass on the knowledge to others, maintain the friendships I have gained with you and the CKM family throughout the year, and come back for more next year.

Moni and Combat Survival are clearly the best of the best! I highly recommend training with and learning from Moni or any instructor of the CKM family. It will be a life changing experience. Among many life lessons you will learn, courage, strength, and the will to succeed overcome adversity.

Moni
I recently attended your Commando Krav Maga class held in Palm Beach County, Florida and wanted to say,"thanks." I felt like I left the training with a new set of tools. It was great to see techniques that were not size and strength based. The techniques taught and your drills for learning them were impressive. I have been involved with my agency's defensive tactics program for 10 years, and truly hope they will incorporate your techniques into their training.

Thanks again
Tom Tucker, State Law Enforcement Officer, Florida, USA

Hello Moni,

On behalf of myself and Officer Rich Dunleavy I wanted to thank you for coming to the Palm Beach Community College Law Enforcement Training Center and putting on the Krav Maga four day seminar.

I had a pretty good feeling that the seminar was going to be good when I was working on getting you down to Florida but I never dreamed that it was going to be as good as it was. I have been doing martial arts for about fifteen years along with working out to stay in shape. Your instruction and demonstration of the techniques along with your patients are light years ahead of any instruction or instructor I have ever had. I also noticed that you physical fitness standards are impeccable.

I have been in law enforcement for twenty–three years and attended many defensive tactics and tactical classes and never had an instructor push a class as hard as you did. It is easy to see that you have a heartfelt dedication to your craft and to the success of your students.

I hope to bring you back to Palm Beach County for another law enforcement seminar. I’m working on that as I write this.

Until then, I am working out hard with a few of the other students to keep the techniques sharp, reviewing my DVD’s, and working on my fitness level with a goal of the August boot camp (instructor level) in Pembroke Pines, Fla.

Until then, stay safe and all the best to you and the CKM family.

As a police officer I have found the self defense techniques of CKM taught at Evolution Martial Arts in Ancaster to be invaluable. The ability to defend ones self while on the job or during time of leisure is a great asset to any individual. CKM uses simple techniques to neutralize threats and allow escape. The use of a few efficient core skills, applied to many different situations allows the mind and body to work under stressful situations.
There is an adrenaline and fear induced rush that is a natural survival response to a threatening situation. There are negative physiological effects encountered by humans when this occurs. The most notable effects are Tunnel Vision, Auditory exclusion, Loss of voice, Loss of fine motor control and Freezing. The complicated movements and sequential techniques of most martial arts can not be accomplished if these physiological effects are encountered. The CKM system has been designed to work when these negative effects occur.
Most martial arts utilize techniques and tactics that are meant for competition and have little to do with realistic conflicts on the street. The random and violent actions of an unprovoked attack greatly differ from a consensual fight. The CKM system has been tested and proven in real life conflict. The CKM instructors teach the techniques in a controlled environment and progress to a stress induced atmosphere. This progression allows the student to perform with less anxiety if faced with a violent encounter on the street.
I have been in some intense situations and have found the confidence gained from training in CKM to allow me to stay calm and act decisively. I would give CKM the highest recommendation to police officers and any person wanting to learn an effective tried and proven self defense system.

Moni,
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the CKM Law Enforcement Seminar in West Palm Beach FL. It was by far the best defensive tactics training I've ever attended. The gun/knife defense and disarming techniques were excellent, and easy to learn. As you said, "Simplicity is Genius." And the little bit of ground work that we got into was great. It really made me look at ground fighting a little differently. With full contact fighting like UFC & Pride becoming so popular, and as officers train in Jui Jitsu, Judo, etc., I believe now we may be becoming too comfortable on the ground. Street fighting is not a controlled environment, and there will no referee to stop double and triple teaming. Or stop a subject from pulling a gun or knife once on the ground. You react how you train, so if your taken to the ground in a real street fight with no rules, will you pull guard? Or will you get back to your feet in 5 seconds and try to create distance, us weapons, etc.? It makes you stop and think. If your in law enforcement or corrections and have the opportunity, get in this class. I promise you, you won't regret it. BUT...... If your coming to the class to hang out with your friends and take long breaks, then this class is probably not for you. On the contrary, if you want to start learning within the first 10 minutes of class, work HARD for a good 8+ hours a day, and by end of a 32 hour week be exhuasted, bruised and know in your heart that you now posess techniques that greatly increase your chances of not just surviving, but winning in a gun or knife situation, then take Moni's class.

God Bless and be safe.

Greetings Moni, it is a great honor for me to be able to sit here and type you this letter, my name is Brian Mathews, we spoke over the telephone over a year ago when I decided to make one of the wisest investments of my life when I purchased volumes 1-5 of Combat Survival.  In the time since I first received those DVD's I have been hooked to Combat Survival absorbing as much as I can like a sponge.

I have shared many of your techniques with my co-workers, I decided then to develop a commando program of my own with intense physical training regimines and by practicing Combat Survival Commando Krav Maga.  I want to say that you have been such a great influence on me and my life both personally and professionally, and a role model I can say I am proud to look up to.  I want to thank you again for creating such a remarkable system that can teach decent law abiding citizens of the world to defend themselves from the evils of society.

Again I wish to thank you for being such a positive influence aplease give my best to all the members of your organization.

I just completed the CKM instructors' course in Manhattan Beach, CA. I was the only woman and cannot emphasize enough how efficient, practical, and simple this system is. Moni kept pointing out that if a woman cannot make the techniques work, then they have no merit. I am a 47 year old average sized woman and was able to perform these techniques successfully on men who weigh 240 pounds and were attacking me at full speed and force (multiple attackers simultaneously). It was an incredibly empowering experience and the intensity of the training advances both your mental and physical self defense skills immediately.
I work in security (anti-terrorism and security for women) and want to encourage both men and women reading this to consider studying this reality based training. We live in an increasingly dangerous world and this system is by far the best one I have seen for personal protection and for protecting your family. Guys--think about it; the women you care about are not likely to get attacked when you are with them. And Ladies--no knight in shinning armor is likely going to be there to defend you. We all must evolve and adapt to changing threats. So here is an idea--make it your New Year's resolution to go find a commando krav maga class in your area. Go together with your friend, spouse, co-worker. You will get in amazing shape very quickly and the training is a blast! It will improve so many aspects of your life.
Thanks to all my fellow trainees--you really helped me advance by bringing on serious attacks and pushing me hard. And, of course, thanks to Moni for making it all possible and sharing this wealth of information!!

Dear Moni,

I recently attended your four day law enforcement training seminar in Palm Beach, Florida, and I wanted to express my appreciation for all the effort you put into our class.  I  am a federal law enforcement officer with over 21 years of experience. I serve in my agency as a firearms instructor, defensive tactics instructor, tactical (street survival) instructor, and a SWAT team member. I have also studied various martial arts for numerous years and teach martial arts/ self defense.  I mention all this because I have found your course to be among the best training that I have received over the years. It has added considerably to my knowledge of unarmed defense. I was particularly impressed with the amount of time spent on edged weapon defense. I believe the techniques, while technical, were not overly complex, and have real street applicability. Despite the intensity of the class and bruises endured by all, it was a very worthwhile experience. I hope to continue my study of the Commando Krav Maga system through the DVDs and additional classes.  Thanks again for everything.

Sincerely,

I’m in the U.S. Navy as a successful Military Police who became successful in teaching Military Police how to fight. I’m still doing the same thing bouncing around with different style especially when I got stationed in Japan. Although my punches became straight and kicks devastating through training there’s something missing or something I’m looking for that I wasn’t aware or couldn’t explain. But this question had been answered and finally my search is over. When I was in the CKM Camp I was screaming so loud, cursing, punching, and kicking like a mad man. I was having a great time! Every wild punches, kicks, and chokes made me felt at home – in the street!!! CKM made me felt like I found my long lost childhood or forgotten childhood. Only COMMANDO KRAV MAGA made me felt like this. Thank you, MONI!!! My search is over CKM is my art.
MONI was right he is “BRUTALLY HONEST” when he said… CKM is the best in street.

I am a Police Officer and I have been looking to supplement my skills with an increased awareness and adopt a proven form of self defence.
In CKM I have found something which for me is a perfect extension of my body's reactions. I am not a fighter in any way but I can let my body go and trust it when in conflict.
I am proud of the fact I have never caused anyone serious, or long term injury nor sustained serious injuries but the risks are real and knife threats are commonplace in my line of work.
In conclusion sir, I say thank you for a system which works, which as a beginner is easy to adopt and giving me the tools to enhance what I can give back through my work.

I would like to express my appreciation for your system, Commando Krav Maga. I have studied many Self Defense DVDs, from many different instructors. Mostly dealing with Special Forces hand to hand combat, from Navy Seals, to Delta Force, to Black Ops hand to hand, including Gun, Knife, & Stick Disarms. Even from Haganah and Krav Maga, from a different source. I consider your system the equivalent to a "Post Graduate Level Course".
I am an International Captain flying DC - 10 aircraft all over the world , I would be happy to recommend your System to anyone who is interested in learning serious Self Defense.

Thanks for your excellent instruction

Moni,
I wanted to write and congratulate you on running what was a very technical and challenging course. As you know I have undergone numerous training programs, both government and non-government, in the past and can state that your CKM Level 2 instructors program was among the best training I have undertaken. I look forward to continuing to refine the techniques you have shown me and further develop my skill in CKM.
